1. Mr. S.A.Sheikh, learned counsel has entered appearance today on

behalf of the respondent No. 2, as such, service is complete.

2. This is an application for condonation of delay of 70 days in filing

the Appeal against the impugned Judgment dated 19-02-2025 and Order of

Sentence dated 20.02.2025, passed by the learned Special Judge, (POCSO),

West Garo Hills District, Tura in Special POCSO Case No. 40 of 2021,

whereby the applicant/appellant has been convicted under Section-6 of the

POCSO Act, 2012, sentenced to undergo 20(Twenty) years of rigorous

imprisonment, accompanied with a fine.

3. We have perused the application for condonation, and we are

satisfied that sufficient cause has been made out in explaining the delay.

4. Mr. R.Gurung, learned GA appearing for the respondent No. 1

and Mr. S.A.Sheikh, learned counsel for the respondent No. 2, also has no

objection to the condonation, as prayed.

5. Accordingly, the prayer is allowed and the delay of 70 days, is

condoned. Registry to diarize and register the Appeal.
