The Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT), founded in 2002 by Mr. Julio Ribeiro, Dr. R.K. Anand, and the late Mr. B.G. Deshmukh, is committed to promoting transparency, ethical governance, and civic activism. With a mission to foster integrity and combat corruption, PCGT plays a crucial role in shaping youth perspectives through various educational initiatives. It seeks to inculcate moral values and active citizenship among students to build a future anchored in good governance and social responsibility.
About PCGL
Established in 2004 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), Pravin Gandhi College of Law (PGCL) aims to provide high-quality legal education while addressing both societal and industry needs in the era of globalization. The college holds linguistic minority status for the Gujarati community. PGCL envisions becoming a center of excellence in legal education, fostering graduates who are not only committed to upholding the rule of law but also socially conscious and driven by a sense of justice.
About MYP
The Model Youth Parliament (MYP) by PCGT is a prestigious simulation of the Indian parliamentary process, encouraging students to understand and engage with the nation’s democratic and legislative framework. It offers young delegates a platform to discuss current issues, propose solutions, and develop leadership, policy-making, and critical thinking skills.
Now in its 7th edition, MYP has consistently hosted reputed personalities from law and civil services as Chief Guests, including Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. N. Srikrishna, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Madan B. Lokur, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Gautam S. Patel. MYP also prides itself on an experienced Executive Board to guide participants.
Theme
“Samridhi Sankalp: Youth’s Pledge for Prosperous Governance”
The theme represents a holistic vision of sustainable prosperity, anchored in righteous governance and collective youth engagement. Drawing from ancient Indian values and historical movements, it calls upon today’s youth to step into roles of leadership, social justice, and policy innovation.
Samridhi Sankalp symbolizes a commitment to sustainable prosperity, social justice, and environmental stewardship, empowering youth to shape a future defined by democratic values, equality, and shared progress. The Model Youth Parliament 2025 serves as a platform for youth to engage in political discourse and policy innovation.
