8th Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan National Moot Court Competition – 2025
Host Institution: AACL Mooters Society, Al-Ameen College of Law, Bangalore
Event Dates: 16th to 18th May 2025
Venue: Al-Ameen College of Law, Bangalore, Karnataka
Focus Area: The moot problem is based on themes intersecting Intellectual Property Rights, Artificial Intelligence Ethics, and Constitutional Law.

Eligibility Criteria:
The competition is open to students currently pursuing an undergraduate law degree—either a 3-year LL.B. or a 5-year integrated law program (B.A., B.B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., B.S.L. LL.B.)—at any recognized law college or university across India.

Team Composition:
Each team must consist of either two speakers or two speakers along with one researcher. A maximum of three participants per team is allowed. Participation is limited to 24 teams and will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Process:

  • Registration Fee: Rs. 4000 (Rupees Four Thousand only)

  • Payment Methods: Online transfer, PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, or Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Principal, Al-Ameen College of Law, Bangalore”

  • Confirmation Requirement: Teams must email the confirmation of participation along with a scanned copy of the payment receipt/Demand Draft to aaclmoot@gmail.com.

Important Deadlines:

  • Last date for receiving soft copy of registration form: 20th April 2025

  • Last date to upload transaction/payment details: 21st April 2025

  • Deadline for queries regarding the moot proposition: 10th May 2025

  • Last date for submission of soft copies of memorials: 10th May 2025

  • Last date for submission of hard copies of memorials: 13th May 2025

Event Schedule:

  • Inauguration, Researcher Test, and Draw of Lots: 16th May 2025

  • Preliminary, Octa-Final, and Quarter-Final Rounds: 17th May 2025

  • Semi-Final and Final Rounds: 18th May 2025

  • Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution: 18th May 2025

  • Winning Team: Rs. 30,000 and Trophy

  • First Runner-Up: Rs. 20,000 and Trophy

  • Second Runner-Up: Rs. 10,000 and Trophy

  • Best Memorial: Rs. 5,000 and Trophy

  • Best Mooter (Preliminary Rounds): Rs. 5,000 and Trophy
