Short Term Bail Application (IA No. 08 of 2025)

Mr. Aditya Singh, learned counsel for the
applicant.
Mr. S.C. Dumka, learned A.G.A. assisted
by Mr. Rakesh Negi, learned Brief Holder for
the State of Uttarakhand.
The applicant, who is shown to be an
accused for the commission of the offences
under Sections 8/20/60 of the NDPS Act, which
was registered as FIR No.538 of 2023, at Police
Station Ram Nagar, District Nainital.
Learned counsel for the applicant
submits that the applicant has filed the present
short term bail application on the ground that
short term bail for a period of seven days for
executing the sale deed/gift deed with regard to
the transfer of his property forming part of
Khasra No. 139-M in favour of Palvender
Singh as allowed by the bank by way of its
letter dated 15.10.2024, may be granted to the
applicant.
Considering the overall facts and
circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined
to grant the short term bail for a period of seven
days’ to the applicant. Hence, the short term
bail application of the applicant is allowed.
The applicant is directed to be released
on bail for a period of seven days from the date
of his actual release, subject to the furnishing of
his personal bond and two reliable sureties each
of the like amount to the satisfaction of the
Magistrate concerned.
It is rest assured, that as soon as the
aforesaid time period of the short term bail
expires, the applicant would be surrendering
himself before the Jail Superintendent, of the
concerned jail.
Accordingly, the short term bail
application stands disposed of.
