[1] Heard Mr. S. Biswajit Meitei, learned senior counsel assisted by
Mr. H. Prabirkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner.
[2] Issue notice in both the main petition as well as miscellaneous
application.
[3] Mrs. R.K. Emily, learned Dy. Government Advocate assisting
Mr. S. Nepolean, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf
of respondent Nos. 1 & 2. Hence, service is complete on the respondents.
[4] Learned Government Advocate prays for three weeks’ time for
filing counter affidavit.
[5] Mr. S. Biswajit Meitei, learned senior counsel for the petitioner,
prays for interim stay of the impugned order dated 30-01-2025 issued by the
Registrar of Societies on the ground that the registration of the petitioner-
association was dismissed on technical ground.
[6] On the other hand, Mr. S. Nepolean, learned Government
Advocate, submits that if the interim relief is granted, it will amount to final

relief and as such interim relief may be considered on the filing of the reply
by the State respondents.
[7] Considering that the prayer for interim relief will be considered on
the next date, Mr. S. Biswajit Meitei, learned senior counsel for the petitioner
submits a letter dated 22-02-2025 issued by the Hockey India informing that
Manipur Hockey is eligible for participating in the National Women’s League
2024-2025 (Final Phase), provisionally scheduled to be held at Ranchi,
Jharkhand from 18 March to 27 March, 2025. Mr. S. Biswajit Meitei, learned
senior counsel, submits that the interim order passed on 27-02-2025 in the
present petition be passed in the above mentioned matter also. The learned
senior counsel for the petitioner may file an appropriate application before
this Court in this regard.
[8] Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf
of Hockey Manipur, submits that Hockey Manipur has filed an application for
impleadment as one of the respondents in the writ petition as the said team
is interested in the subject matter. However, the application is not listed
today.
[9] Registry may verify the same and place it on record.
[10] List these cases on 24-03-2025.
