The Petitioners have filed the Petition against the
Respondents under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act
seeking Compensation of Rs.20,00,000/- for the death of
Sampath Kumar S/o. Late. Doreswamy in a Road Traffic
Accident.
2. The brief averments made in the Petition is as under:
That on 25.08.2021 at about 7.45 a.m. the deceased
Sampath Kumar was standing on the left side of the National
Highway, near Bathlapalli Bust stop, Hosur, at that time, the
driver of the Car bearing Reg. No.TN-70-Q-0004 came from
Krishnagiri road with high speed and in a rash and negligent
manner hit the deceased Sampath Kumar. Due to the impact,
Sampath Kumar sustained grievous injuries to head and all
over the body and died at the spot. The petitioners spent more
than Rs.2,00,000/- towards conveyance, funeral and other
incidental charges.
