Ms. A.D. Syiem, learned counsel for the appellant has submitted
that on perusal of the Trial Court records, it is found out that the statement of
the accused under Section 164 Cr.P.C is not available in the records, and as
such, the same could not be incorporated in the paper book. There is also no
indication that such statement was ever recorded.

Mrs. N.G. Shylla, learned Sr. GA appearing on behalf of the State
respondent prays that some time may be given to the State respondent to
peruse the relevant records, to confirm the same and to apprise the Court in
this regard. Prayer is allowed.
