Impugning the proceedings issued by the 3rd respondent demanding the
petitioner to pay an amount of Rs.15,92,509/- towards True up charges for the
financial year 2014-15 to 2018-19, including additional charges due to belated
payment, the above writ petition is filed.

Sri Siddarth, learned counsel representing the learned counsel for the
petitioner would submit that the claim made by the petitioner in Form-A is
contrary to the Section 56 of the Electricity Act, 2003. Learned counsel would
also submit that the notice, impugned is issued under Andhra Pradesh State
Electricity Board Recovery of Dues Act, 1984 (for short “the Act, 1984) and the
Act, 1984 is not in force and it was repealed by virtue of the Electricity Act,
2003.
