The Petitioner, through the medium of this Petition filed under
Article 227 of the Constitution of India, seeks quashment of Complaint
titled ‘Sahiba Wani v. Arjumand Farooq Bhat & Anr.’ filed by the
Respondent herein qua the Petitioner herein under Section 12 of the J&K
Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, along with an
application under Section 23 of the Act of 2005, pending before the Court
of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class (2nd Additional Munsiff), Srinagar.
The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner
submits that some false and frivolous allegations have been levelled against
the Petitioner in the impugned Complaint, who happens to be the father-in-
law of the Respondent herein, just to pressurize him in view of the marital
discord between the Respondent herein and her husband, namely, Arjumand
Heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner.
