2. Prosecution Case: The marriage of CW1
namely Smt. Bhagyashree and the accused No.1 was
solemnized on 11-12-2020 as per Hindu customs and
rituals. At that time, the accused demanded and
received about 12 grams of gold (ಒಂದು ತೊಲ ಚಿನ್ನ) as
dowry from the parents of CW1. After the marriage,
CW1 was residing at house No.10, 4th Cross,
Bairappa Layout, Nagashettihalli within the limits of
Sanjay Nagara Police Station with accused persons
wherein the accused No.1 to 3 with common intention
were subjected the CW1 to mental and physical
cruelty for fetching additional dowry amount and
property. Further, on 25-02-2023 at around 9 am,
the accused No.1 and 2 picked up quarrel with CW1
and CW4 namely Smt. Shakunthala for additional
dowry, abused them with filthiest language,
threatened with dire consequences and subjected
CW1 to physical and mental cruelty.
