As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to revolutionize sectors across the globe, India’s legal community is coming together to explore its transformative potential in the courtroom and beyond. ETLegalWorld, in collaboration with Microsoft India and with the support of the Bombay Bar Association, is hosting a landmark event titled “Reimagining Legal Practice with AI: A Dialogue Between Law Firms & Judiciary”at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

With participation from some of the country’s most respected judicial figures, top-tier law firms, regulatory authorities, and AI experts, the event aims to catalyze conversation and collaboration around integrating AI into India’s legal infrastructure.

Set against a backdrop of rapid digital transformation, the program will open with a welcome note from Monica Behura, Editor at ETLegalWorld, followed by opening remarks from Lalit Bhasin, President of the Society of Indian Law Firms. The keynote address will be delivered by Swapna Parambath, Senior Director, Legal and Regulatory, India and South Asia at Microsoft, highlighting the convergence of legal and tech frameworks in the Indian context.

Prominent voices from the regulatory landscape will also be heard, including Ananth Narayan G, Whole Time Member of SEBI, and Nitin G. Thakker, President of the Bombay Bar Association.

The evening features two high-impact panel discussions. The first, “Shaping AI for the Future: The Regulatory & Legal Landscape in India,”will explore policy, compliance, and innovation, with a panel comprising legal luminaries including Dr. Shardul S. Shroff (Shardul Amarchand Mangal Das & Co.), Haigreve Khaitan (Khaitan & Co.), and Ajay Bahl (AZB & Partners). The session will be moderated by Jyoti Pawar,Group General Counsel at Microsoft CELA India.

Following a networking tea break, the spotlight will shift to a plenary session titled Justice, Innovation & AI: The View from the Bench and the Bar.” Moderated by Jyoti Pawar and The Economic Times, Maulik Vyas, this panel will feature judicial and legal stalwarts including Justice B.N. Srikrishna,Justice Gautam Patel,Justice Somasekhar Sudaresan,and Senior Advocates Darius Khambata and Zal Andhyarujina

The event will close with a Presidential Valedictory Address(invited) by Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, followed by a vote of thanks and networking dinner.

This thought leadership platform is more than a conference—it’s a call to action. As AI reshapes industries, India’s legal fraternity is making it clear: it intends to lead, not follow.
