1. The guardian of the minor petitioner filed this petition
under Section 166 of Motor Vehicles Act 1989, seeking
compensation of Rs.20,00,000/- for the injures
sustained by his son in the road traffic accident
occurred on 16-10-2022.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that, on 16.10.2022 at
about 4-30 p.m., within the jurisdiction of Kengeri
M.V.C.No.7132/2022

Traffic Police Station, near PA supermarket road, when
the Petitioner was crossing the road, at that time the
accused drove the offending Car bearing Reg.No.KA-41-
MA-9964 from Poonam Mall road Maramma Temple
towards Kengeri New Town in a high speed, rash or
negligent manner, so as to endangering to human life
and dashed against the Petitioner, as a result the
Petitioner sustained grievous injuries on his right leg.
Thereafter the Petitioner was shifted to Adarsh Hospital
wherein he took treatment as inpatient and undergone
surgery and spent Rs.2,50,000/- towards medical
expenditure food, nourishment and other incidental
charges etc., In this regard informant/Girish i.e., father
of the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the
Kengeri Traffic police station. Accordingly, a case was
registered in their Crime No.286/2022 and prepared
F.I.R. for the offence punishable under sections 279 and
338 of IPC and submitted to the jurisdictional judicial
Magistrate and the superior officers and investigation
was taken up by the investigating Officer.
