School of Integrated Coastal and Maritime Security Studies (SICMSS) seeks to explore and assess the trajectory of law, policy and governance systems affecting this strategic space at national, regional and international level. SICMSS with its resources and experiences seeks to provide excellent academic, research, training and capacity building support to national agencies in ensuring national coastal and maritime security agencies and other stakeholders. Eligibility

  • For LL.M. in Maritime Law:  Applicants having bachelor degree in Law with minimum 55% marks in case of General & 50 % in case of SC/ST candidate can apply. (Apply Now)
  • For PG Diploma in Maritime Law (Hybrid Mode): Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks for General category candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates. Also, In addition to above, applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the relevant field. Preference will be given to the In-service Personnel/ Police Personnel/ State/Central Govt. Employees/ Grant in Aid Institutes. Refer to the guidelines.

Fee Structure

  • The Tuition fee for the LL.M. (Maritime Law & other specialisations) one-year programme is INR 80,000/- per year*
  • The Tuition fee for the PG Diploma in Maritime Law (Hybrid Mode) (one-year) programme is INR 60,000/– per year* 
  • The tuition fee can be paid in two installments on a semester basis. (Apply Now)

Admission Criteria

  • The admission shall be solely based on the RRU Common Entrance Test (RCET) for PG (Law) to be conducted by the University on Sunday, July 13, 2024
  • The RCET PG Law will be of 2 hours duration having 100 MCQs with no negative marking. It will have 3 sections having 25 questions on English language and reading comprehension,  25 Questions on analytical reasoning and general studies, and 50 questions on law domain covering Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, International Law, Administrative Law,Criminal Law and Justice, National Security and Law, Cyber Laws etc. 
  • The Entrance test is ‘Online Proctored Mode’. This mode of exam will enable the applicant to appear for the exam from any location using their own Laptop/ Personal Computer connected to the stable internet.
