The Petitioner who is aged about 72 years stands convicted for
the offences punishable under Sections 7, 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the
Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Appeal in this connection filed
by the petitioner has been dismissed by the High Court vide
judgment dated 28.01.2025 whereupon, the petitioner has approached
this Court by way of the instant Special Leave Petition.

The petitioner has filed this application seeking exemption
from surrender on various grounds including inter alia the medical

annexed with the application to buttress the prayer for exemption
from surrender.
