1. Mr. B.S. Koranga, learned counsel
holding the brief of Mr. Vikas Kumar
Guglani, learned counsel for the
applicant.

Holder for the State.
3. The short term bail application (IA
No. 2 of 2025) has been moved by the
applicant praying short term bail to attend
the marriage of his sister Sania Parveen
which is scheduled to be held on
22.06.2025.
4. It is submitted by the learned
counsel for the applicant that the applicant
is elder brother, and, therefore, as per the
Muslim customs and rites the presence of
the present applicant, being elder brother,
is necessary.
5. The applicant is the accused of FIR
No. 0482 of 2024 wherein he is implicated
for the offences punishable under Section
8/21/29 of the NDPS Act and he has a
criminal history of five case out of which
four cases relates to the NDPS Act.
6. On the other side, Mr. Bisht, learned
A.G.A. submits that the applicant is a
habitual offender and indulged since long
back in the similar activities, therefore, he
does not deserve regular bail but since the
applicant’s sister is going to marry,
therefore, he may be granted short term
bail for two weeks.
7. After hearing the arguments of the
learned counsel for the parties and taking
into consideration the statement as given
in the affidavit filed in support of the bail
application, and furthermore in view of the
statement as advanced by the learned
counsel for the State, this Court is of the
view that since applicant’s sister is getting
marry on 22.06.2025, therefore, applicant
being elder brother of the bride deserves
for short term bail for 15 days.
8. Accordingly short term bail
application is allowed.
9. Let the applicant Nadeem be
released on short term bail for a period of
15 days, to be reckoned from the date of
release, on his executing a personal bond
and furnishing two reliable sureties of the
like amount to the satisfaction of the court
concerned.
10. Needless to say on completion of 15
days period, to be reckoned from the date
of release, the application shall surrender
before the court concerned.
11. Put up this matter on 03.07.2025.
12. Let a certified copy of this order be
supplied to the counsel for the applicant
today itself on payment of usual charges.
