1. No one appears to argue the matter on behalf of the respondent.
Efforts for mediation have failed.
2. The petitioner-wife seeks transfer of proceedings of the Case No.
843 of 2024 titled “Ankit Kumar Srivastava Vs. Shiwani Sinha” filed
under Section 13 of Hindu Marriage Act,1955 by the respondent-
husband pending before the Principal Family Judge, Family Court,
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to the Court of Principal Judge, Family Court,
Palamu, Jharkhand.
3. On a perusal of the transfer petition preferred by the petitioner, it
is apparent that both petitioner-wife and the respondent-husband
were working in a reputed tech Company ‘IBM’ at Bangalore. The
marriage seems to be the result of mutual affinity between the two
which developed at the workplace. The petitioner-wife went to the
matrimonial home after the marriage which was solemnized on 19 th
January, 2023. The petitioner and the respondent lastly resided
together at Kanpur. The petitioner-wife has categorically admitted in
the transfer petition that she deserted her husband on 27 th January,
2024. The petitioner came to know of the proceedings of the divorce
petition on receiving the summons forwarded by the Family Court,
Lucknow, whereafter she herself lodged a complaint against the
respondent-husband alleging harassment on account of demand of
dowry, etc.
