About the Organisation

The Criminal Justice & Police Accountability Project is a research and litigation intervention working to build accountability against the unjust criminalisation of marginalised communities. 

Eligibility

  • Academic background in law (preference to students in their penultimate or final year of study).
  • Proficiency with reading and writing in Hindi.
  • Preference will be given to candidates based in Madhya Pradesh.
  • This position is open only for persons from Adivasi, Dalit, Vimukta, Nomadic or other Bahujan and Pasmanda Muslim communities.

Nature of Internship

We are looking for legal interns for a 4 months long internship including mandatory one month in-person internship, from July 2025 to October 2025. The work will involve research on the disproportionate impact of criminal laws on marginalised communities and assisting with litigation before the Trial Court and High Court.

Location

Remote + Bhopal (M.P.) (Mandatory one month In-person Internship)

Duration

4 months, from July 2025 to October 2025; Commitment: 20 to 25 hours per week.

Stipend

Rs. 8,000 per month
