About the Conference

The 4th International Conference on Law and Social Transformation (ICLS-2025) explores the dynamic interplay between legal frameworks, social transformation, and sustainable development. In an era of unprecedented global challenges, law serves as both a catalyst and a foundation for equitable progress. This conference will examine how legal innovation can drive systemic change, address environmental crises, advance human rights, foster green economies, and empower marginalized communities through inclusive legal advocacy.

Hosted by the School of Law, Alliance University, this annual conference brings together legal experts, policymakers, activists, and scholars to critically assess the role of law in achieving social transformation through law and sustainable development goals (SDGs). Through interdisciplinary dialogue, the conference aims to develop actionable strategies that promote resilience, justice, and sustainability in an increasingly complex world. This year the Conference will be held on 27th of September 2025.

Eligibility

Alliance School of Law is providing a forum for the discussion of well-researched papers through this International Conference on Law and Social Transformation (ICLS-2025). Faculty members, Judicial Officers, Advocates, Research Scholars, Students, Policy Makers, among others, are invited to submit quality research articles from the given areas.

  • Last Date for sending the abstract: 15th July 2025
  • Communication of accepted abstracts: 20th July 2025
  • Last date to register: 27th July 2025
  • Last date for full paper submission: 15th August 2025
  • Date of Conference: 27th September 2025

Paper Specifications

  • Abstract: Not more than 300 words and a minimum of five relevant keywords. The abstract must embody the objective of the paper, the broad argument(s), methodology, and the tentative findings.
  • Paper: Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of one co-author. However, both authors need to register separately. In the case of co-authorship, at least one author must attend the conference to present the paper. No Proxy presentations are allowed. Both the author and co-author need to pay separately.
  • Maximum Length: 6000 words including title/cover page and references
  • Margins: 1” on all sides
  • Regular Font: Times New Roman, 12 points, Line spacing 1.5, justified
  • Title Font: Times New Roman, 14 points, bold, Line spacing 1.5
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, font size 10 with a spacing of 1.0
  • Citation: Bluebook 20th Edn.
  • Similarity: Should not exceed 15%
  • Abstract and full paper must be submitted to [email protected]
  • Selected research papers will be published in an edited book form (Lex-Et-Mutatio) with ISBN Number. Two best research papers and one best presentation from each track will receive awards. However, papers not complying with the guidelines given above will not be accepted for publication.
