1. The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya
Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 20231 (erstwhile Section 482 of the Code of
Criminal Procedure, 19732) seeking quashing of FIR. No. 0703/2016,
registered under Sections 498A/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860,3
dated 3rd October, 2016 registered at P.S. Malviya Nagar and all
consequential proceedings emanating therefrom.
2. Petitioner No. 1 is the husband of Respondent No. 2 (The
Complainant). Petitioner Nos. 2 to 4 are the in-laws of Respondent No. 2.
The marriage between Petitioner No. 1 and Respondent No. 2 was
solemnized on 30th November, 2009 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. One
child was born from the said marriage. However, due to matrimonial
discord, the relationship between the parties deteriorated. Several efforts for
