This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 528 of the
Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) by
the petitioners/accused Nos.5 to 7 seeking to quash the
proceedings against them in Crime No.590 of 2024 on the file of
Jubilee Hills Police Station, Hyderabad, registered for the alleged
offences punishable under Sections 406, 386, 409, 420, 468,
477(A), 506 , 120(b) of the IPC and Section 66(C) of the ITA.
2. The brief facts of the case are that the accused persons
besides cheating respondent No.2, also extracted an amount of
Rs.25,00,000/- from her father by threatening her. Hence, a
case was registered vide Crime No.590 of 2024 before the Jubilee
Hills Police, Hyderabad.
