I.A. No. CRAN 1 of 2023
Sri Rabindra Nath Ghorui & Anr.
-Vs.-
The State of West Bengal
Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury
Ms. Sreetama Das……..for the State
None appears on behalf of the petitioners. No
accommodation is sought for. It appears that this criminal
revisional application has had a chequered history as this
revisional application was dismissed for default on 24th
September, 2021 and the restoration application was filed in the
year 2023 after a long gap of two years and since thereafter the
matter was restored on 30th June, 2025.
On 7th July, 2025, accommodation has been prayed for on
behalf of the petitioners and the same has been granted. Today
also, none appears on behalf of the petitioners.
This revisional application was filed for quashing of
proceeding in Panchla P.S. Case No. 91 of 2013 dated 19th April,
2013 under sections 420/406/467/468/120(B)/322/324/448/
504/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and the matter was dealt
with by a coordinate Bench on 13th September, 2013 and since
thereafter, it remained pending and the petitioners allowed the
matter to be dismissed for default.
Therefore, considering the entire conduct of the petitioners,
it is clear that the petitioners are absolutely reluctant in
2

proceeding with this case resulting in pending of this proceeding
since 2013.
Ms. Sreetama Das, learned advocate appears on behalf of
the State/opposite party.
Therefore, practically there remains nothing for keeping
this revisional application alive. Hence, this revisional application
is dismissed for default.
Let a copy of this order be sent to the learned trial Court
by the department for immediate necessary action.
