2. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

3. This appeal is against the order passed by the Delhi High

Court rejecting the bail prayer of the appellant in connection with

FIR No.VIII/38/DZU/2023 registered at PS NCB under Sections 8,

20(C), 23(C), 25, 27A and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic

Substances Act Act, 1985 (“NDPS Act”).

4. The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is

that this is a case where there is hardly any worthwhile evidence

against the appellant. A parcel containing contraband article

(1.064 kg of Hashish / Charas) was seized from DHL Express Pvt.

Ltd., Kirti Nagar, New Delhi of which the petitioner was neither

consignor nor consignee. During investigation, nothing

incriminating has been recovered from the petitioner. The

prosecution case against the appellant is based on a confessional

statement of co-accused and alleged voice recording found from the

mobile phone of the co-accused. It has been submitted that the
