About the Opportunity
Vidhi Tamil Nadu works on legal and policy issues affecting the state of Tamil Nadu. We offer internship opportunities to students enrolled in graduate or postgraduate programmes in law, public policy, or allied disciplines in the humanities.
We are currently looking for a dedicated intern to join our team in Chennai in August. The intern may continue in hybrid mode in September, subject to the team’s requirements.
Mode
Hybrid.
Roles and Responsibilities
One of the primary projects the intern will contribute to involves identifying Tamil-language literature, cultural and folk expressions, and legal material related to the Constitution.
Accordingly, proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Tamil is essential. The intern should also be open to travelling within Tamil Nadu for fieldwork and empirical research, accompanied by Vidhi Fellows.
Standard remuneration will be provided, and all travel expenses (if any) will be reimbursed by the organisation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current student or recent graduate in law, public policy, or the humanities
- Physical presence is required in August
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Tamil
- Demonstrated interest in or experience with constitutional law
- Prior involvement in legal awareness initiatives or organisations
