The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially announced that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 will be conducted on December 7, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
The online application portal for CLAT 2026 will be open from August 1 to October 31, 2025.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Executive Committee and Governing Body of the Consortium held on July 20, 2025.
A press release issued by the Consortium stated that further information regarding the updated syllabus, application procedure, and counselling process will be released shortly.
CLAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted annually for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes at participating NLUs and several affiliated institutions across India.
