About Centre for Advanced Research in Corporate and Insolvency Laws

The Centre for Advanced Research in Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) was established under the aegis of Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna in 2019 with the objective of fostering high-quality research, policy discourse, and capacity building in the domains of corporate law, corporate governance, and insolvency laws. The Centre endeavours to bridge the gap between academic legal research and practical regulatory challenges by facilitating dialogue among scholars, policymakers, industry professionals, and regulatory bodies.

About the Blog Series

This series aims to foster meaningful discourse and critical thinking in the field of Corporate Law, Insolvency Law, Banking Law, Securities Law, Commercial Law, Competition Law, and Taxation Law. CARCIL’s blog serves as a dynamic platform for disseminating the latest legal developments, practical insights, and critical analysis related to corporate and business laws. We welcome submissions under the following categories:

• Articles – in-depth analysis of relevant legal issues
• Case Comments – critical assessment of recent judgments
• Legislative Notes – evaluation of new bills, amendments, and policies
• Opinions/Columns – personal viewpoints on emerging trends and unresolved questions

Eligibility

Contributions from students, researchers, practitioners, and academicians that reflect strong legal reasoning, clarity of thought, and contemporary relevance.

Formatting Guidelines

• Authors must use Times New Roman/Garamond font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing, and justify all text.
• All sources must be compulsorily hyperlinked within the text, and endnotes may be used if necessary.
• Sub-headings should be used where required to improve clarity.
• The language must be formal, neutral, and precise, avoiding excessive legalese.

Submission Guidelines

• The review process generally takes around 2 weeks and in case of delays, the authors may seek updates through our official email address carcil.editorial@gmail.com.
• Submissions must be original and unpublished. Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
• Plagiarism above 10% will lead to rejection.
• All submissions will undergo a blind peer-review by the Editorial Board.
• The Editorial Board reserves the right to suggest edits or reject submissions without detailed feedback.
• Once a piece is published on the CARCIL blog, it cannot be republished elsewhere without prior written permission from the Editorial Board.
