Milbank LLP Transportation and Space Group partner Dara Panahy, who heads the firm’s Space Business practice globally, spoke at Space Foundation’s Innovate Space: Global Economic Summit on July 22, 2025 at Amazon’s HQ2 in Virginia. Mr. Panahy, who was invited to deliver remarks during a Flash Talk, provided an overview of critical factors within the space economy.
The high-impact, one-day Global Economic Summit, previously known as Space Foundation’s State of Space, brought together top executives, policymakers, senior leaders and stakeholders from various space sectors to discuss the global space economy and its size and impact as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead, while exploring driving trends, characteristics and other pertinent issues shaping the future within the global space economy.
Mr. Panahy focuses on the representation of satellite and space infrastructure operators, aerospace manufacturers, launch services providers, communications companies, banks, private equity firms and hedge funds in debt and equity offerings, project, structured and vendor financings, mergers & acquisitions, financial restructurings and in negotiating commercial contracts.
