About the Session
Domestic violence is not just a personal issue, it’s a legal one. Survivors often face a maze of procedures, stigma, and silence. This session aims to demystify the legal process and empower survivors and advocates alike.
Join us for a comprehensive, empathetic, and action-oriented discussion on how India’s legal framework addresses domestic violence, with a special focus on the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (PWDVA), 2005, rights of survivors, role of Police and Protection Officers.
About the Organisers
The Maharashtra Social Security & Reforms Council (MSSRC) wields under the Social Security and Reforms Council and the aegis of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) which aims to enhance the social welfare, security and justice of women in Maharashtra.
