1. Through the medium of the instant petition, having been filed under
the provisions of Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita,
2023 (hereinafter referred to as BNSS, for short), the
petitioner/complainant seeks the quashment of the FIR bearing No.
0174/2023 registered with Police Station, Channi Himmat, Jammu
against the respondent Nos. 2 to 10 on the main ground that he being
the complainant in the case has compromised with the private
respondent Nos. 2 to 10 in respect of the dispute and that the
impugned FIR came to be registered by the respondent No. 1 on
account of his own misunderstanding, who actually on the incident
day had gone to the police station concerned to verify the status of
some earlier case, but the respondent No. 1, took his statement as an
independent complainant. That the impugned case FIR happens to be
the second in respect of the same occurrence.
