Ropes & Gray represented Cordillera Investment Partners in a minority investment in the women’s football club Denver Summit FC.
Denver Summit FC is the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL’s) 16th franchise and will begin play in 2026. Other Denver Summit FC owners and investors include IMA Financial Group chairman and CEO Robert L. Cohen, Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, and Olympic Alpine Skier Mikaela Shiffrin. The club has unveiled plans for a future stadium district in downtown Denver, which will represent the largest investment in women’s team sports infrastructure in history.
