CMSIndusLaw is continuing its recent expansion with the addition of Amrita Tonk as a partner in the firm’s employment, investigation and ABAC practice in Delhi. Tonk rejoins the firm after a five-month stint as head of legal (North) at Godrej Properties.
Tonk has had a diverse career, including in-house at Accenture before moving to the judiciary as a metropolitan magistrate, presiding over trial courts at Patiala House and Tis Hazari for over five years. She has also held partnership roles at Luthra and Luthra Law Offices and the erstwhile IndusLawm after leaving the judiciary.
She counsels clients on sensitive and high-stakes employment matters, including workforce disputes, internal investigations, employee misconduct, regulatory compliance, and workplace policy enforcement. Her experience includes advising Indian and multinational corporations on whistle-blower investigations, termination of senior management, and strategic issues around culture, governance, and compliance.
“Her combined experience on the bench and in practice will be instrumental in further strengthening our employment, investigations and ABAC offerings to our clients nationally,” said Avimukt Dar and Suneeth Katarki, founding and senior partners of CMS IndusLaw, in a statement.
