About the Seminar
The seminar aims to foster intellectual discourse on the dynamic interplay between India’s newly restructured criminal law regime marked by the enactment of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 and the foundational linguistic and jurisprudential influence of the American legal system.
In an increasingly globalized legal ecosystem, the convergence of legal cultures and languages play a vital role in shaping modern criminal justice mechanisms. This seminar will bring together eminent legal scholars, jurists, policy-makers, practitioners, and students to critically evaluate how American legal language, with its precision, precedent-based reasoning, and persuasive jurisprudence, aligns or contrasts with India’s post-reform criminal law.
The event seeks to bridge comparative legal scholarship and explore linguistic commonalities and divergences that impact legislative drafting, courtroom advocacy, procedural interpretation, and global legal education.

About The Organizer
Amity Law School, Lucknow (ALS-L) is a premier institution under AULC (Amity University Lucknow Campus), established in 2007. It provides a global learning environment through cutting-edge teaching. Methodologies and UGC-recognized Undergraduate and Postgraduate Law programs. ALS actively promotes internationalization, creating a multicultural academic setting for collaborative learning.

Submission Guidelines
- Language
All submissions must be in the English language. - Word Limit
The abstract should be between 250-300 words along with 5-7 keywords.
The full research paper should be between 3000-5000 words (inclusive of all citation and references/footnotes). - Font and Line Spacing
Submissions must be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1-inch margin on all sides with 1.5-line spacing.
Potential contributors are required to adhere to a uniform mode of citation (20th Edition of The Bluebook/OSCOLA Citation Style/APA/MLA, etc.).
Submissions will be submitted in MS Word file only. - Plagiarism Percentage
Submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism through Turnitin Software and Plagiarism should be less than 10%. - Registration
Submission of the abstract will be considered as a provisional registration and the co-authors are also required to get registered for the Seminar.

Abstract of the paper should be submitted through a mail amityinternationalseminar2025@gmail.com on or before 20th August 2025 at 11:59 P.M. IST.
