- Affidavit in support of plaint & applications

Day 3: Drafting a Written Statement (WS) + Strategic Defense [23rd August 2025]
- WS structure – Order VIII CPC
- Strategic denial: general vs specific
- How to admit, deny, or claim lack of knowledge
- Raising counterclaims & set-offs effectively
- Timelines for filing WS & consequences of delay
- Affidavit verification requirements
- Avoiding implied admissions through precise drafting
Day 4: Replication, Rejoinders & Amendments [24th August 2025]
- Purpose & necessity of replication
- Drafting to address and neutralise defendant’s objections
- Rejoinders & replies to common applications
- Amendment of pleadings – Order VI Rule 17 CPC
- Conditions under which courts allow amendments
- Drafting amendment applications with affidavits
- Avoiding technical defects that delay proceedings
Day 5: Framing Issues + Strategy from Drafting to Courtroom [25th August 2025]
- Framing issues under Order XIV CPC from pleadings
- Understanding how judges & senior lawyers read pleadings
- Linking pleadings to evidence and trial strategy
- Avoiding errors that lead to dismissal of suits
- Drafting with clarity, chronology & logical flow
- Sample formats: partition suits, consumer disputes, specific performance
