About the Role
Bajaj Housing Finance Limited is seeking an experienced Legal Professional to join its litigation team in Mumbai. This role focuses on recovery litigation in the mortgage and financial services sector, requiring hands-on expertise in relevant laws, close collaboration with the collections team, and effective handling of legal processes from initiation to enforcement.
Eligibility
- Experience: 2–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in mortgage industry, NBFCs, or banks.
- Location: Must be a local candidate based in Mumbai.
- Specialised Knowledge: Strong understanding of the SARFAESI Act is mandatory.
- Familiarity with the Consumer Protection Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, and criminal litigation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drafting and vetting notices under Sections 13(2) and 13(4) of the SARFAESI Act, along with related publications.
- Liaising and collaborating closely with the collections team to ensure efficient recovery proceedings.
- Managing litigation matters, including preparation of pleadings, responses, and case strategy.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and timelines for recovery cases.
- Representing the organisation’s interests before appropriate forums as needed.
