1. This is an application for condonation of delay of 1538 days in
filing the Appeal against the impugned Judgment dated 05-03-2021 and
Order of Sentence dated 05-03-2021, passed by the learned Special Judge,
(POCSO), West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin in Special POCSO Case
No. 19 of 2016, whereby the applicant/appellant has been convicted under
Section-5(l)(n)7 of the POCSO Act punishable under Section 6/8 of the Act
ibid and under Section 506 IPC and under Section 6 of the POCSO Act,
sentenced to undergo 20(Twenty) years of rigorous imprisonment,
accompanied with a fine.
2. We have perused the application for condonation, and we are
satisfied that sufficient cause has been made out in explaining the delay.
