About the Journal
The Journal for Human Rights (Zeitschrift für Menschenrechte/zfmr), published by FAU CHREN (Center for Human Rights Erlangen-Nürnberg), invites submissions for its upcoming Issue 1/2026. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for critical engagement with contemporary human rights challenges.
Theme
The forthcoming issue will focus on “New Technologies and Human Rights.” Contributions are invited to explore how artificial intelligence, social media, and automated systems are transforming society and what implications these developments carry for the protection and promotion of human rights.
Eligibility
- Submissions are welcome from scholars and practitioners across diverse disciplines, including history, philosophy, international law, social sciences, natural sciences/technology, and education.
- Interdisciplinary and critical perspectives are particularly encouraged.

- Submission of Complete Contributions: 15 February 2026
