About the Organizers

O.P. The India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC), established under an Act of Parliament and declared an institution of national importance, provides an independent and autonomous regime for institutional arbitration. Chaired by Hon’ble Justice Hemant Gupta (Former Judge of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India) and managed by eminent arbitration experts, IIAC offers a neutral platform for efficient resolution of domestic and international commercial disputes, aiming to position India as a global hub for arbitration.

About The Event

In line with our commitment to excellence in mooting, we are delighted to announce the second edition of the JGLS International Arbitration Moot (IAM) 2025. The competition will bring together students, academicians, and professionals in the field of International Commercial Arbitration to compete, network, and learn from leading experts. This year’s moot problem focuses on key procedural issues, including third-party funding, security for costs, challenges to awards, and the enforceability of arbitral awards, under the Rules of the India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC).

Eligibility

The Competition is open to all bona fide undergraduate law students [B.A./BBA/B.Com LL.B (H) or equivalent] from recognized institutions. Each institution may send only one team. In the case of universities with constituent colleges, each college may register a separate team, or a combined team may represent the university.

Release of Moot Problem 15th August 2025
Deadline for Registration 12th September 2025
Deadline for Memo Submission 5th October 2025
Oral Rounds 31st October – 2nd November 2025

How to Register?

Registration the Each team shall register for the Competition by duly completing and submitting final online registration form (attached at the end of the post). Teams are strongly encouraged to complete the registration process at the earliest possible opportunity. No registration fee shall be charged for any team participating in the Competition.
