Vodafone Idea Limited received an Order under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 from the office of Additional Commissioner, CGST Panchkula Commissionerate, according to Vodafone Idea’s exchange filing.
The order passed u/s 74 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 confirms a penalty of ₹ 2,94,07,225 along with demand and interest as applicable.
The matter relates to the allegation of excess ITC availment for FY 2017-18.
The order was received on January 6, 2025.
The Company is likely to challenge the order before an appropriate authority. “The Company does not agree with the Order and will take appropriate action(s) for rectification/ reversal of the same,” Vodafone Idea said.
The disclosure before the exchange was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
