IFGL Refractories Ltd has received a Demand cum Show Cause Notice from the Commissioner of Customs, Kandla (Gujarat), according to the IFGL’c exchange filing.
The Show Cause Notice alleges that Kandla SEZ Unit of the Company procured Bauxite/Calcined Bauxite from DTA suppliers without payment of Export Duty as per proviso to Rule 27(1) of SEZ Rules, 2006 estimated to be ₹ 2,46,12,669/-.
The matter relates to the period between FY 2019-20 to FY 2023-24.
The Company received the Show Cause Notice on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
“The Company will take actions appropriate pursuant to SCN and does not foresee any material impact on its financial, operational or other activities,” IFGL Refractories’ said in an exchange filing.
