1. Supplementary affidavit filed on behalf of petitioner, is taken on record.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
3. The petitioner is having firearm license No. 941/P11 (N.P.B. Rifle 315 Bore No. AB 05-7647). The aforesaid license of the petitioner has been cancelled by the respondent No.3/District Magistrate, Ghazipur vide order 11.11.2021 on the ground that criminal cases i.e. Case Crime No. 114 of 2018 under sections 354A, 504, 506 IPC was registered against the petitioner. Aggrieved with the aforesaid order, the petitioner preferred statutory appeal being Case No. 1899 of 2021, computerized case no. C20211400001899 (Akhilesh Kumar Upadhyay Vs. State) under section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959 before the respondent No.2/Commissioner, Varanasi Division, Varanasi which was also dismissed on the same ground vide order dated 19.02.2022. Aggrieved with the aforesaid orders, the petitioner has preferred the present petition.
