Alkem Laboratories Limited has received an order passed by statutory authority under the Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, according to Alkem’s exchange filing.
An Order has been received by our Haryana GSTIN for the period from F.Y.2017-2018 to 2020-2021 demanding GST of ₹ 5,21,52,038/- along with a penalty of ₹ 5,22,02,038/- and applicable interest under applicable provisions of the IGST Act, 2017, CGST Act, 2017 and SGST Act, 2017.
The Order relates to allegations of excess availment of GST Input Tax Credit. The Company does not agree with the demand order and will contest the same.
The Order was received on January 6, 2025.
The disclosure before the exchange was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
