Alliance University is a private university established in Karnataka under Act No. 34 of 2010, recognized by UGC, BCI, and AICTE. Alliance School of Law is approved by the Bar Council of India and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs with strong focus on practical training, research, and policy learning.
Event Details
- Event Name: Alliance Model GST Council Competition (AMGSTC) 2025
- Type: National-level simulation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council.
- Objective: To mirror the real functioning of the GST Council, allowing students to deliberate on fiscal federalism, taxation reforms, and inter-governmental negotiations.
- Format: Day 1 & 2: Thematic council deliberations (debates, open dialogues, structured sessions).Day 3: Semi-finals & simulated press round. Maximum Teams: 31 (each representing a state/UT, 2 members per team – State Finance Minister & Secretary).
Eligibility
Open to all bona fide law students enrolled in:5-year integrated LL.B. program, or 3-year LL.B. program, or LL.M. program (recognized by the Bar Council of India).
