1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner inter-alia with the prayer to quash the order dated 11.06.2021 passed by the respondent no.2-Commissioner Varanasi Division, Varanasi in Appeal No. 354 of 2021 (Arun Kumar Singh Versus State of U.P.) and order dated 08.02.2021 passed by the respondent no.3-District Magistrate, Ghazipur in Case No.D202014290000268 of 2022 (State of U.P. Versus Arun Kumar Singh).

It is argued by the learned counsel for the petitioner that firearms license of the petitioner was cancelled only on the ground that five criminal cases being Case Crime No.50 of 1995 under Sections 323, 504 & 506 of I.P.C. and 3(1)(10) of SC/ST Act, Case Crime No.106 of 1996 under Sections 323, 504 & 506 of I.P.C., Case Crime No.89 of 2001 under Sections 323, 325 & 504 of I.P.C., Case Crime No.422 of 2002 under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468 & 471 of I.P.C. and Case Crime No.136 of 2020 under Section 30 of Arms Act is pending against the petitioner.
