The present petition is filed by the petitioners under
Sec.12 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence
Act, 2005.

2. The brief facts of the petitioner’s case are as
under; The marriage between the petitioner and
respondent No.1 was solemnized on 17.11.2018 and
stayed with respondent No.1 for 1 year 2 months. During
her stay with the respondent No.1 he treated her as
slave, taunted for not getting enough dowry, gifts.
Further she submitted that, respondent No.1 was keen to
use the petitioner merely for his lustful desires and to
the advantage of manipulating the petitioner to get gifts,
financial assistance and other such wrongful gains from
her parents. Further she submitted that, at the time of
marriage respondent No.1 and respondent No.2 to 9 at
various instances during the marriage made demand of
silver and gold jewellery ornaments, cash, watch suits,
wedding clothes, advance amount for renting new house,
furniture, electronics, kitchen vessels and so on. On the
demand of the respondents her parents have given sum
of Rs.1 lakh cash was handed over to the respondent
No.1 towards buying two wheeler then provided all in

form of silver and gold jewellery in form of 3 rings, 2
necklace, 3 pair of ear rings and gifts for respondent No.2
to 8, furniture other household items etc., Respondent
No.1 was finding an opportunity frequently to travel with
his friends and people best known to him to various
locations and did not bother to at least inform the
petitioner neither did he involve the petitioner into
decision making. Respondent No.2 to 9 are the siblings
and relatives of respondent No.1 and all have caused
various forms of domestic violence to the petitioner.
Respondent No.1 never gave money for her personal
expenses neither for basic necessities, clothes, footwear
nor for medical care, personal hygiene, personal
grooming care and other such amenities. Respondent
No.1 always fought with her for silly issue to shunt her
out of the marital home, demanding her to get money
from her father. Respondent No.1 never have ever
participated or taken any effort whatsoever to accompany
her to doctors, hospitals for any of health issues and
concerns. When the petitioner was admitted in the
hospital Respondent No.1 never visited the hospital since
about more than 4 months even to just ask about
whereabouts and basic health of the petitioner. Further
she submitted that, she is facing hardship to survive in
her parents house as her parents are undergoing lot of

hardship untold misery to maintain her. Respondent
No.1 has treated the petitioner as nothing but a toy of
his lustful pleasure which has caused not only physical,
mental, financial but to a great extent emotional and
psychological irreparable torture trauma and hardship to
the petitioner. In spite of having more than sufficient
sources of income and owning many properties and other
sources incomes such as cash, chit fund money etc., the
respondent No.1 has neglected to maintain her and have
only committed the above mentioned violence upon her.
On all these grounds she has filed this petition.
