The complainant has filed the present complaint U/Sec.200
of Cr.P.C., alleging that the accused has committed the offence
punishable U/Sec.138 of Negotiable Instruments Act (herein after
referred as N.I.Act).
2. The case of the complainant in brief is as follows:-
The accused is known to Complainant since past 3 years. The
accused availed hand loan of Rs.20,00,000/- on 03.03.2018
from complainant for her urgent financial commitments with an
assurance to repay the same within a period of 4 months and
the accused executed an On Demand Promissory Note. On
demand, the accused has issued a cheque bearing No.000144
dated 16.07.2018, for an amount of Rs.20,00,000/- drawn on
ICICI Bank, Bettegere Branch, Mudigere, Taluk Chikkamagaluru
towards discharge of legally recoverable debt.
