Bharti Hexacom faces ₹1.73 cr penalty over input tax credit irregularities, ET LegalWorld

The Assistant Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax Division, Jaipur East levied a penalty of ₹ 1,73,01,027/- on Bharti Hexacom Limited for an alleged irregular input tax credit claimed during the financial year 2017-18 to 2022-23, according to the Company’s regulatory filing.

The Company is likely to challenge the order before an appellate authority. “The Company does not agree with the Order and will take appropriate action(s) for rectification/reversal of the same,” the Company said in an exchange filing.

The order was passed u/s 74 of the CGST Act, 2017.

The Company received the order on January 20, 2025.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
