2. Admittedly, the appellants have been incarcerated for more

than five years, and the appeal is not likely to be taken up by the

High Court in the near future.

3. Accordingly, we set aside the impugned order passed by the

High Court and allow the present appeal. The sentence of the

appellants shall be suspended and they shall be released on bail in

connection with their conviction for the offence(s) punishable

under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(C), 28 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs

and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, subject to the terms and

conditions that may be imposed by the Trial Court.

4. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
