The Faculty of Law, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens invites applications from motivated law students to represent the University in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2026 – the world’s largest and most prestigious moot simulating proceedings before the International Court of Justice. Organized by the International Law Students Association (ILSA) and sponsored by White & Case LLP, Jessup provides participants with unparalleled academic and professional exposure in international law.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate law students
- LL.M. students (enrolled for the academic year 2025–26)
- Strong interest in public international law and moot court advocacy
Roles & Responsibilities
Selected participants will:
- Conduct in-depth research on complex issues of international law
- Draft memorials and written submissions on behalf of the Applicant and Respondent
- Engage in structured training sessions starting October 2025
- Participate in practice rounds and national qualifiers in Spring 2026
- Represent the University in the International Rounds in Washington, D.C. (28 March – 4 April 2026), if qualified

- Intervention before the ICJ
- Rights of indigenous peoples over rare earth minerals
- General principles of law recognized by civilized nations
- State immunity in cases of economic harm
