About HPNLU
Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, was established by the State Government in 2016, by an Act of the Legislature (Act 16 of 2016). The University started functioning from October 5, 2016.
About the Journal
HPNLU Journal of Environment and Disaster Management (JEDM) is a peer-reviewed online publication, owned and managed by Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla.
Since its inaugural volume in 2020, the journal has served as a platform for academicians, researchers, lawyers and students to pen down their scholarly articles on contemporary environmental legal issues.
About the Call for Papers
The Journal of Environment Disaster Management (JEDM) invites academicians, legal professionals, researchers, policy experts, and students to contribute high-quality research papers, articles, and case comments for its Volume 5, 2025 issue.
As environmental challenges continue to intensify globally and nationally, there is an urgent need to rethink legal frameworks, sustainability strategies, and policy interventions.
This issue aims to serves as a dynamic platform to advance dialogue and disseminate scholarly insight on the evolving landscape of environmental law.
Submission Guidelines
- Word Limit: 4,000 to 6,000 words (including footnotes)
- Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
- Format: Times New Roman, 12 point, 1.5 spacing, justified alignment
- Citation Style: ‘HPNLU mode of Citation’ (available in the university website).
- Subject Line: Submission – HPNLU (JEDM) 2025
- Submit your work to cedm@hpnlu.ac.in.
- The author is required to submit an undertaking about the originality of the research paper, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Contributor shall submit a plagiarism report (of turnitin) and it should not exceed not exceed 10% of plagiarism.
- The acceptance/rejection/any changes or revision if required of the article will be informed to the author by 12th October, 2025 after a thorough review process.
