About Kautilya Colloquy

Kautilya Colloquy 2025 is the flagship public policy conference of the Kautilya School of Public Policy, designed to foster dialogue, innovation, and collaboration around the most pressing policy challenges of our time. Centered around the theme “Navigating Through a VUCA World,” this year’s edition brings together students, scholars, practitioners, and policy leaders for a vibrant exchange of ideas.

Timeline

  • Abstract Submission Deadline – 10th August 2025
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline – 5th September 2025
  • Paper Presentation Event – 13th September 2025

Note: All submissions will be checked via Turnitin to ensure originality and academic integrity.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract: Maximum 300 words
  • Paper Length: Between 2,500 to 4,000 words (excluding references)
  • Citation Style: APA 7th Edition
  • Authorship: Submissions are welcome from individual authors as well as teams of co-authors
  • Accepted Submission Types: Full papers, Work-in-progress papers, Extended abstracts
  • Allocated Time per Presenter: 7 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for Q&A
  • Presenters are expected to adhere strictly to time limits to allow fair participation and maintain session flow.

Themes and Sub-Themes

Participants may choose to submit under the following 5 broad themes, each allowing exploration through a variety of sub-themes:

1. Economic Resilience and Financial Systems

  • Policy Innovations for Sustainable Growth
  • Financial Inclusion and Digital Payments
  • Global Trade Policies and India’s Position
  • Future of Work and Labor Market Reforms

2. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Policies

  • Corporate Responsibility and Sustainable Business Practices
  • Green Financing and Climate Policy
  • Role of ESG in Public Policy and Governance
  • Resilient Healthcare Systems for a Sustainable Future

3. Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence

  • AI for Good Governance
  • Digital Public Infrastructure for Inclusive Development
  • Challenges of AI Technology Regulations

4. Geopolitics and the Global Order

  • India’s Foreign Policy in a Multipolar World
  • Trade Wars and Economic Diplomacy
  • Regional Security and Strategic Alliances
  • Technology and National Security Policies

5. Transforming Governance for Inclusive Societies

  • Women’s Political Participation and Leadership
  • Public Safety and Gender-Sensitive Urban Planning
  • Intersectionality in Governance

Note: Cross-cutting and interdisciplinary topics are encouraged.

Publication & Recognition

All papers will undergo a thorough review by the Editorial Board for academic rigour, originality, and relevance.

Top submissions will receive the following recognitions:

  • Top 5 papers: Will be published in an Edited Volume (Kautilya Policy Review). This volume will be disseminated to policymakers, guest faculties, and other institutional stakeholders.
  • Top 2 papers will receive cash prizes:
    1st Prize: ₹25,000
    2nd Prize: ₹20,000

Registration

  • Registration Fee: ₹500 (to be paid only upon abstract selection)
  • Participants will receive a certificate of presentation and gain access to policy networking sessions during the colloquy.
