About the University
The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, established in 2010 by Act No. 4 of 2010 passed by the Jharkhand State Legislative Assembly, is one of India’s premier law universities.
NUSRL is committed to advancing legal education and research through innovative curriculum design, academic rigor, and interdisciplinary learning.
Situated in the capital of Jharkhand, the university provides a conducive academic environment fostering excellence in research and policy development at national and global levels.
About the Journal
The NUSRL Journal of Law and Public Policy (ISSN: 2349‑9982) is a flagship annual publication of the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi.
It is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that serves as a forum for scholarly writing on issues intersecting law, governance, and public policy.
The journal aims to encourage academic discourse, policy analysis, and legal reforms through research contributions from scholars, academicians, practitioners, and students from around the world.

Categories of Submission
- Research Articles: 5,000–8,000 words (inclusive of footnotes)
- Case Commentaries / Legislative Briefs: 2,500–3,000 words
- Book Reviews: approx. 2,000 words
- All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words and 5 keywords
- Co-authorship up to 2 is permissible

- Format: MS Word (.doc/.docx only)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing; Footnotes size 10, single spacing
- Citation: Bluebook (21st Edition)
- Plagiarism Limit: Not exceeding 10%
